About Real Frame
Trust shouldn't require a cryptography team. So we made it an API call.
Real Frame is the infrastructure layer for verifiable credentials. Here's why it exists, what we refuse to compromise on, and the people building it.
Why we exist
Digital identity was solved on paper, then left unbuilt.
The standards already existed. The EU had mandated OID4VCI and OID4VP. Wallets were shipping. And yet, for any organization that wanted to issue or verify a credential, the path ran straight through months of protocol work, cryptographic edge cases, and wallet interop nobody had time to own.
We kept watching teams rebuild the same plumbing from scratch, each one solving a problem that had already been specified down to the byte. The hard part was never the idea of verifiable trust. It was the distance between the specification and a request you could actually send.
Real Frame collapses that distance into three API calls: issue, verify, done.
No retrofit of legacy PKI. No proprietary format that traps your credentials inside one vendor. Just the open protocols Europe is standardizing on, reachable the way every other serious primitive on the internet already is: a clean REST endpoint, a signed response, and a credential a wallet can carry for life.
What we won't compromise
Three commitments that outrank any roadmap.
Verifiable, not just claimed.
Every credential we touch is cryptographically signed and independently checkable. Trust shouldn't depend on whether someone takes our word for it, or yours.
Standards over lock-in.
OID4VCI, OID4VP, W3C VC. We build on the exact open protocols the EU mandates, so the credentials you issue outlive us and move freely between wallets.
Privacy is the architecture.
Subject data is transient by design. We hold what we need to deliver a credential, for as long as it takes, and not a field or a second longer.
